Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Social Science (IJSS) welcomes original research papers, review articles, and theoretical studies in the field of social sciences. Authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines when preparing and submitting their manuscripts:

1. Manuscript Submission

- Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system or the designated email address.
- The submission must include the main manuscript, a title page with author details, and a cover letter stating the originality and significance of the work.

2. Manuscript Format

- Manuscripts must be written in English in a clear and concise style.
- Use Microsoft Word (.doc or.docx) format with a standard A4 page size, 1-inch margins, Times New Roman, 12-point font, and 1.5 line spacing.
- The manuscript should follow the following structure:

  • Title (concise and informative)
  • Abstract (150-250 words, including keywords)
  • Introduction (background, objectives, and significance of the study)
  • Methodology (research design, data collection, and analysis methods)
  • Results and Discussion (findings, interpretations, and implications)
  • Conclusion (summary and recommendations)
  • References (formatted in Numbered style)

3. Citation and Referencing

- References should be formatted according to numbered style.
- In-text citations should follow the author-date format [1].
- The reference list should be alphabetized and include complete cited work details.

4. Plagiarism Policy

- Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.
- All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software. Any manuscript with a similarity index exceeding 20% may be rejected.

5. Ethical Considerations

- Authors must follow ethical research guidelines, including proper citation, data integrity, and avoiding conflicts of interest.
- Studies involving human participants must include ethical approval and informed consent details.

6. Review Process

- All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.
Depending on reviewer availability, the review process typically takes 4-8 weeks.
- Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit their manuscript based on reviewer feedback.

7. Copyright and Licensing

- Authors retain copyright but must grant the journal a license to publish the article.
- The journal operates under an open-access policy, allowing free distribution of published works.

8. Article Processing Charges (APC)

- The journal charges a publication fee to cover editorial and publication costs.
- Authors will be informed of the fee structure upon acceptance of their manuscript.
