Guidelines
The International Journal of Automotive & Transportation Engineering (IJATE) welcomes high-quality research articles, review papers, and case studies related to automotive engineering, transportation systems, and mobility technologies. Authors must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth submission and review process.
1. Manuscript Submission
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All submissions must be in English and formatted according to the IJATE template.
- Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the online submission system.
2. Manuscript Format
- File Format: Submit the manuscript in Microsoft Word (.doc or.docx) or LaTeX (with PDF version).
- Font & Spacing: Use Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced.
- Length: The manuscript should not exceed 8,000 words, including references, figures, and tables.
- Sections: The manuscript should be structured as follows:
- Title Page (Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s), Corresponding Author)
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (3–6 keywords)
- Introduction
- Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments (if applicable)
- References (APA or IEEE style)
3. Figures and Tables
- All figures and tables should be numbered sequentially (Figure 1, Table 1, etc.).
- Provide high-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi).
- Figures and tables must be cited in the text and placed appropriately within the manuscript.
4. References and Citations
- Use APA (7th edition) or IEEE referencing style.
- Ensure all references are cited in the text and listed in the reference section.
- For accuracy, use a reference management tool (e.g., EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero).
5. Ethical Considerations
- Authors must ensure the originality of their work and avoid plagiarism.
- All sources should be given proper credit, and permission must be obtained for copyrighted materials.
- Studies involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical standards and include approval statements from relevant ethics committees.
6. Peer Review Process
- All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Authors may be required to revise and resubmit their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
- The final decision on publication rests with the editorial board.
7. Copyright and Open Access Policy
- IJATE operates under an open-access model, ensuring unrestricted access to published content.
- Authors retain copyright but must grant IJATE the right to publish and distribute the work.
- A Creative Commons (CC-BY) license applies to all published articles.
8. Article Processing Charges (APC)
- There may be an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted papers.
- Waivers and discounts are available upon request for authors from developing countries.
