  • Ethical Compliance: Research involving human or animal subjects must adhere to ethical standards.

2. Duties of Reviewers

Peer reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of IJATE. They must:

  • Confidentiality: Keep all submitted manuscripts confidential.
  • Objectivity: Provide fair, unbiased, and constructive feedback.
  • Acknowledgment of Sources: Identify missing citations and report any suspected plagiarism.
  • Timeliness: Complete reviews within the agreed timeline.

3. Duties of Editors

The editors of IJATE are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the publication process. They must:

  • Fair Decision-Making: Evaluate manuscripts solely based on academic merit.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of submissions.
  • Ethical Oversight: Act on ethical concerns, including research misconduct.
  • Retraction & Corrections: Issue retractions or corrections when necessary.

4. Handling of Misconduct

IJATE follows COPE guidelines when dealing with allegations of misconduct. Corrective actions such as manuscript retraction or author bans may be applied if misconduct is proven.

5. Ethical Oversight & Compliance

IJATE ensures adherence to ethical standards by requiring compliance with institutional and international ethical guidelines, transparent disclosure of funding sources, and ethical research practices.

6. Copyright & Licensing

Authors who publish in International Journal of Automotive & Transportation Engineering (IJATE) retain the copyright of their work. Authors grant the journal the right of first publication.
